Going back to the year 1954, when company "Salvo" was founded and when one of its sister companies in Tallinn was "Salvo Suveniir".
"Salvo Suveniir" was a big company with nearly 250 employees and besides wooden souvenirs they made household products from plastic and other materials.
Back then Estonia was one of the Soviet Republics where planned economy was imposed. "Salvo" and most of all "Salvo Suveniir" belonged to a group of Estonian minded companies, because of the national products that they made.
