History

Going back
to the year 1954, when company "Salvo" was founded and when one of its sister companies in Tallinn was "Salvo Suveniir".

"Salvo Suveniir" was a big company with nearly 250 employees and besides wooden souvenirs they made household products from plastic and other materials.

Back then Estonia was one of the Soviet Republics where planned economy was imposed. "Salvo" and most of all "Salvo Suveniir" belonged to a group of Estonian minded companies, because of the national products that they made.

Meened OÜ has many artisans with a lot of experience and who have the necessary long-term skills in order to make good quality items from wood and fabrics.

We are mainly focused on making national dolls and innovative souvenirs, holding this way alive an old tradition, of making souvenirs, that started from "Salvo Suveniir".
